A Writer Who Writes
If you have followed along on Lost Darling Girl’s Submissive Journal, you know how much I enjoy exploring the layers of desire through the experience of dominance and submission. I write poetry. I share essays and short stories. But you may not know that I also write novels.
I have several pen names, one is Izzy but I also write as Isoe Dark. This pen name holds the dark romance stories that lean into my imagination. Fantasies set in dark ruined worlds where love grows out of decay.
I always laugh when someone asks me about my “dirtiest fantasy” that I’ve never told anyone. My dream job is writing those dirty thoughts down for everyone to read and getting paid for it. Primal chase. Food and water play. Orgasm denial. Exhibitionism/Voyeurism. Capture non-consent. Ropes. Breath Play. And so much more.
For me, dark romance begins when a character is pulled from numb survival into feeling again. The transformation hurts. The hurt comes from change itself. Even the most beautiful change is hard work. I write these stories to escape the heavy parts of life, not to add more weight with fantasies of cruelty, dehumanization or devaluing. I will never diminish a woman as a human or a submissive, instead, I will find the iron backbone that has helped her survive a corrupt world.
Readers will find strong love connections here. Growly omegaverse archetype alphas, monsters, aliens. Tension that makes your pulse jump. Spanking, because yes, that is still very much my thing. Heat levels range from three to four chilies. Nothing that leaves you needing to recover afterward. I might push you gently with new kinks or capture themes. In the good way.
A few of my full-length novels, some previously published under the author name Isoellen, now live on TheoReads. It is a sanctuary built to protect original, kinky romance from arbitrary censorship and moral filters.

And now the new work I am most excited about:
Shattered Goddess
For those of you who have followed my work for a while, you know I usually write my novels in third person. This time I’ve stepped into something different—an intimate,
first-person Gothic dark romance set in a world where devotion, desire, and
divine power are tangled together in a fantasy world.
The story follows Trin, a survivor of a plague that scarred both her body and her homeland. She lives as a bondservant in a fading crossroads village where the sky never quite clears and everything seems slowly to rot under a creeping gloom known as the Drench. When a powerful temple priest arrives searching for candidates to serve the Goddess, Trin is forced into his household. Although everyone whispered the old estate is haunted, the only ghosts Trin will face are those from her own past.
The divine order is broken. The Goddess who once protected the land is weakening. The last surviving high priests may not be strong enough to hold the world together.
Trin wants nothing to do with any of it.
Unfortunately, the Goddess—and one very dangerous priest—may have other plans.
If you enjoy dark fantasy, sacred magic, complicated enemies-to-lovers tension, and a heroine who absolutely refuses to behave the way the world expects her to… I think you’ll enjoy where this story is going.
I am sharing it here as a rough serial draft. Chapters go up as I write them.
You can start here for chapter one.
Your comments and thoughts truly help me shape it faster. If you want to beta read or offer editing feedback, please message me. Look for the #ShatteredGoddess tag on posts so you can follow the thread easily.
Why have I chosen the small and new ebook website for my older works? Why will this novel not end up on Kindle Unlimited? Amazon’s takedowns, bank pressures, and the slow creep of censorship make it hard to keep unfiltered erotica and kinky romance alive. Theo is different. It protects creativity and the full spectrum of who we are. See for yourself: TheoReads.com/why-we-exist.
Explore TheoReads for the chapter drops, snippets, behind-the-scenes thoughts, trope conversations. This is where the darker fantasies get room to breathe.
What draws you most? Capture stories, gothic atmosphere, priestly alphas, monster lovers? Tell me in the comments. I love hearing what stirs you.
